Will your insurance
cover it?
Find out before you're standing at the pharmacy counter. Type your plan and your medication, and FillMap tells you whether it's covered, whether your plan will make you jump through a hoop first, and what it will cost you.
Works on your phone. Most answers take under a minute. Free to use, and an account is optional.
“Is it covered?”
Search the brand name or the generic — whatever is on the bottle or the prescription — and get a straight yes or no for your specific plan, plus which price tier it sits in.
“Is there a catch?”
Plans often add conditions. FillMap spells them out in plain words: your plan needs to approve it first (prior authorization), wants you to try a cheaper medication first (step therapy), or limits how much you can get at once.
“What will it cost me?”
The copay or percentage your plan publishes — and for Part D, what that percentage works out to in dollars, what a month of your list costs, and what a year costs once the deductible and the out-of-pocket cap are taken into account.
Three taps, no paperwork
Start typing your insurance — the plan name on your card is enough. Every Medicare Part D plan in the country is in there, marketplace plans in 43 states, and Texas Medicaid.
Brand or generic, spelled roughly. FillMap knows that Lipitor and atorvastatin are the same thing.
Covered or not, any conditions attached, what you'd pay, and covered alternatives you can bring up with your doctor.
Compare plans by the medications you actually take
List your prescriptions and see which plans cover them — and for Medicare, what each plan would charge you for that exact list, per month and across a year. Most plans cover the common ones, so the price is usually what decides it.
- Medicare Part D and marketplace compared separately — you qualify for one or the other
- Add your pharmacy: on about 4 in 10 Part D plans, where you fill changes the price
- Tell us if you get Medicaid or Extra Help and every figure is recalculated
- Put any three plans side by side, drug by drug
- Plans that need Medicaid or a specific condition are labeled, not buried
| Plan | Covers | Drugs | + premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Memorial Hermann Dual Advantage | 4 of 4 | $0 | $0 |
| HealthSpring Achieve | 4 of 4 | $56 | $56 |
| HumanaChoice Giveback | 4 of 4 | $18 | $60 |
| El Paso Health Total | 4 of 4 | $22 | $70 |
Three kinds of plan, one search box
Every Part D and Medicare Advantage drug plan in all 50 states — price tiers, the prices your plan negotiated, and which pharmacies each plan counts as preferred.
The statewide preferred drug list every Texas Medicaid plan follows, including which drugs need approval first.
Drug lists from the marketplace insurers in 43 states, taken from the files they are required to publish.
Medicare covers every state. Marketplace covers 43 — the eight that run their own exchange (California, Connecticut, DC, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Vermont) publish separately and are still to come. Medicaid is Texas only for now. Insurance you get through a job isn't covered, because those plans don't publish their drug lists publicly.
We never ask who you are
FillMap looks up plans and medicines — not people. There is no field for your name, date of birth, member ID, or medical history, because we don't want them and never store them. Nothing about your health is on file here.
- No health records, everWe hold your email address. That is the whole file.
- We don’t keep your searchesWe count how many lookups an account makes, to stop abuse — not which medicines you looked up.
- No ads, no data brokersFillMap is free, and you are not the product — we do not sell you.
- No insurance login neededYou pick your plan from a list. We never touch your insurer account.
The same lists your plan actually uses
FillMap doesn't guess. Coverage comes straight from the files the programs and insurers publish themselves — Medicare's official data, the Texas Medicaid drug list, and the files marketplace insurers are required to post — and every answer shows its source and the date it was last checked.
- Official sourcesMedicare and Texas Medicaid publish these files; we read them, we don’t invent them.
- Checked automaticallyDozens of checks re-verify our copy against the originals every time we update.
- Kept currentWe watch the sources and reload them when they actually change.
- Dated answersEvery result is stamped “as of” a date, so you know how fresh it is.
FillMap tells you what your insurance covers. It is not medical advice and it is not a price quote. Never stop, start, or switch a medication based on what you read here — if something isn't covered, bring the covered alternatives to your doctor or pharmacist and decide together. Coverage can change, and your plan always has the final say.
